Very interesting and extremely informative. It’s nice to know what’s going on in the minds of our students. I’m glad we asked!

I am seeing the SOAR “guides” walking with future students in the library and chatting with them to make them feel more welcomed and comfortable…which is very nice.
BUT isn’t this a LIBRARY and thier JOB is to “make them believe, at least for NOW” that like all other libraries we need to preserve silence and treat it as a Library and leave the chat to outside?????????????????????????? Isn’t this giving the wrong message and extend the problem to 4 more years?????????
I am graduating in December and noise concern is still an issue in Atkins Library!
